The food was mediocre at best. The service too was lackluster. Its unfortunate because the location and setting is unique in this busy part of Ubud.
A wonderful view but only ordinary food...
Lovely sorroundings - the attitude regarding service leaves something to be desired.
The food was delicious! The setting is unique. Lush and tropical.
Came for the view, left a one star review for the food. Lovely flavourless undercooked instant noodles.
The place is lovely, but the service leaves something to be desired. Lazy and slobbish attitude from the guy serving us. It’s a shame because with a bit more effort this place could be amazing given its location.
The rice was really stale, and the staff were rude and service was so slow. However the most horrifying part of the visit was the poor chickens rammed into cages too small for them at the entrance of the toilet. One of the chickens sounded miserable and desperate to get out of the tiny cage. It sounded like it was crying, poor thing. Shame on this restaurant. Do not go here.
Nice view. Thats all. We spent about 30mins to get our cold food.
Simple dishes and lovely seating outdoor on the river. The food quality was medium only; nothing special. No WiFi
Nice view, this could be a great restaurant but unfortunately the food is really bad ...
SCAM.
Nice Place Nice Food
The view is much better than foot
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They tried to pass off chicken as fish when we ordered pepes ikan fish and the bread from the sandwich had mold on it! Terrible place. Not worth it.
the juices are shady, the 'green salad' is just unwashed cucumber with store bought curry sauce. ths view is nice tho.
Food is not good. 12 % extra money Atmosphere is nice, river and fresh breeze are the best things here. But our lunch experience was unforgettable. I found caterpillar in my Gado gado. My friend ordered tomato juice and they made it from some not so good tomatos with water. 🙈The place is not crowded by customers but some walkers pass through as restaurant is situated on the Rice fields path.I would not recommend to ordere more than drink. You decide what is best for you.
Great view, tasty food, nice staff! A bit hidden of the main road so it was quieter and peaceful. Great for lunch, dinner or just some bevvies
Nice place and good food
Careful! Very long wait for food and only to find out that it was bad (up to a point of getting sick).
Great little cafe with an awesome view. Fair pricing. The chicken noodle soup was delicious as was the water melon juice.
Amazing Nasi Campur and Pisang Rai with great view. It was so delicious I am thinking about coming back every day of our time in Ubud! Love it here!
We had a really good massage here, better than from places that cost alot more. Though it may be dependent on the individual masseuse. Highly recommend.
speechless... avoid at any costthe details:+: nice river view, the live music at the restaurant next door could be enjoyed, some frogs were hanging out and made romantic sounds.-: rude, slow staff, dirty table, boring and overpriced boring instant food. we ordered a set menu where the starter and the main dish were basically the same kind of cheap instant vegetable soup came at the same time, the latter with added chicken. We also had a chicken curry which basically resembled the other two bowls, just some instant curry paste thrown in. no. just no. never again. hope this helps other people to avoid an ugly experience.
We came for lunch and were satisfied. Simple but unique as tables are separated on the outside on little terraces. We had three meals which were all okay to good. Payed 210k IDR for everything (beef rendang, chicken sandwhich, saté, a large beer and a fresh watermelon juice). Waiting time was little. Not much to complain about here.
An oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the street life in Ubud
Cold beer and the best Nasi Goreng I have had in Indo so far. All good
Beautiful setting, quiet and the food was really good. Being next to the river there is a lot of wildlife, so if you don't like reptiles then sit inside the warung and not on the deck. As with most local warungs, avoid the western food as it is usually not as good as the local food and more expensive.
Didn't eat anything but a great spot to have a drink and refresh. The views of the river are amazing
Found two decent sized bugs nicely cooked in the meal. The staff tried to make me pay for the meal and when I refused the guy at the counter started slamming the calculator and check in anger. The prices are way too high for the food and I couldn't believe the disrespectful stinginess of the staff.
We stopped for the view. We were the only people at the place and that should have raised a red flag but we still ordered two fresh juices and some food. The juices were quite disgusting as they seemed to be mixed with some sugar water. Didn’t finish and left. It was our first experience of bad food in Bali.
Thought it was a lucky find, hidden away from the main street. The atmosphere seemed rather beautiful and the prices reasonably high (with reasonable tax+care fare as well), but it turned out to be quite the disappointment. Apparently, with the exception of dishes that are based on rice or noodles, the food doesn't include any kind of side dish, which you would have to order as an extra dish (the staff did not point this out to us, so just vegetables and just meat as 2 meals were brought). For quality, we had way better food for way less money at way worse-looking warungs throughout Indonesia, Ubud and surroundings included. Finishing touch, to find a bug drowned in the sauce of a meal you just finished, at which point we just got up, paid and left.
Do not eat here. The food is decent but the staff are apathetic and rude. My wife had several large flies in her food, which we still had to pay for, and we were met with only a grunt when I voiced our displeasure. It seems like they want their restaurant to fail. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Pleasant place. Food barely ok. Good for enjoying a beer and some very basic dish.
Cosy and lovely place. It's like eating in the forest inside the heart of the city. It's a quite hot but sometime a fresh air help. The dishes are good for the prices.
Horrible customer service. Really cheap, food was average.
Disappointing. Ordered beef randang, got some kind of coconut milk soup with vegtables and tough, chewy bits of meat. The taste wasn't bad, but never had "randang" like this before..... Also, prices quite high for what you get.
It was so sad, that our first meal in Ubud was such a disaster. When we saw this place and wonderful view we thought everything will be so perfect as view. We were wrong. We waited 30 minutes for food, food looked okay, but it was totally cold... and we were the only one customers. Staff were grumpy and not nice. I give them only one star - for the view, nothing else.
Do not eat there!! If i can score 0 Star it would be better. I ordered Grilled fish, and it was disgusting, i can not eat, even vegetables were not good at all. It's a tourist restaurant, and food is absolutely not acceptable. My friend ordered beef, she can not finish also, meat. It's not a Balinese or Indonesian restaurant. My worst experience food ever in Indonesia. So we paid 250k rp and let our plates full. Even the service is not good at all.
Even if is not the cleanest Spa you can find in Ubud, the massage was amazing
Nice quiet spot off the street. Food was good and reasonable priced
Very nice located but unfortunately can’t offer good food.. i entered as i saw the offer of the day are fish dishes, but that was already sold out.. so as i liked the place i ordered a chicken salad.. what i got were maybe 50g of chicken (i had to look for it) and 1 litre of dressing on top. Its very difficult to prepare this salad so disgusting but they got it. I give 1 star only for the view...
We walked in by accident there before we realized how bad the reviews are (you won't find a worse rated restaurant in Ubud I think). We were the only guests and it took indeed 30 minutes before the starters arrived. It has a nice ambiente directly over a river but that's about it.
Just had a coke, so cannot day anything about the food, however, the location and the view is amazing!
Pleasant place by a river. Some nice simple tables . Unfortunately the food is generally bad. The service is ok, depending on the days. Best thing here may be a cold beer - be careful not to fall in the river down there afterwards, some tables are dangerous...Don't go there with kids!
Great location off the busy street with spacious individual seating areas, the food is cheap but fairly average and our meals took 40+ minutes to arrive. Staff were friendly yet elusive so we’d have to go searching when we were ordering drinks during the wait. Amenities are pretty rough with one of the two toilets missing it’s seat and both in need of a good clean Wouldn’t return to this place again.
Nice view, horrible, horrible food, realy discusting toilets and staff with no knowledge of the menu.
The food was horrible and dishes were so little. Service was so slow. It was more expensive than other restaurants in Ubud. Definitely not worth going.
Great little hidden place to catch a rest from the busy main roads. Nice view, quiet, and okay food. Came from Lembongan today and this was a great way to ease into this city. Up high, on a terrace overlooking the river with okay service and okay reasonably prices food. Just what I needed. 5 stars. Had 2 fresh juices...chicken noodle soup, mixed salad, Lumpia, Nasi Gureng, and Pork Satay with peanut sauce.
I had a great meal at Warung River View. When eating at a traditional Balinese Warung, I recommend eating Balinese food. Ordering western food here is akin to ordering steak at a seafood restaurant. That said I really enjoyed my traditional Balinese chicken curry - thank you.
